About the Role

A leading global pharmaceutical organisation is looking for a Medical Advisor to join its Clinical Study Unit, supporting clinical trials across the North Europe cluster.

This is a temporary maternity cover position, requiring a candidate who can quickly take ownership and operate independently within a complex, international environment.

The Medical Advisor acts as a medical and scientific expert, ensuring patient safety, scientific integrity, and operational feasibility of clinical trials. You will work cross-functionally with global R&D teams, local stakeholders, and external experts such as investigators and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide medical and scientific expertise to clinical trial teams
• Support study design, protocol development, and feasibility assessments (e.g. recruitment, site selection, standard of care)
• Act as the primary medical contact for investigators, sites, and internal stakeholders
• Engage with KOLs to gather insights, support scientific exchange, and improve study execution
• Deliver medical and scientific training to study teams
• Ensure medical accuracy of study-related materials and documentation
• Bridge global and local perspectives to support successful trial execution
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including CSU, R&D, and Medical Affairs

Profile

Must-have

• MD (preferred) or PhD/PharmD in Life Sciences
• Strong medical and scientific expertise
• Solid understanding of clinical trials, drug development, and ICH-GCP
• Experience in clinical practice, clinical research, or pharmaceutical industry
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluent in English

Nice-to-have

• Medical specialization (not required)
• Affinity with innovation / complex environments
