About the Role

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an entrepreneurial and results-driven Account Manager Nordics to support the European Export team during a temporary period.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving commercial growth across the Nordic region, with a strong focus on expanding private label business, accelerating branded product performance, and developing a sustainable export model. The organization currently has a relatively small footprint in the Nordics, making this a high-impact position with significant growth responsibility.

You will work closely with local partners, distributors, and field teams (Denmark & Finland), ensuring strong in-market execution and identifying new opportunities. The role combines strategic account management with a strong new business component and requires a hands-on, independent mindset.

You will join a small, agile, and collaborative export team and report directly to the Business Unit Lead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and grow key retail and OOH accounts with full P&L responsibility
  • Drive growth across Nordic markets through direct and distributor-based models
  • Lead and motivate local field teams (approx. 15 reps in DK & FI) to ensure strong execution
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities and open new customer channels
  • Develop compelling trade stories in collaboration with marketing teams
  • Lead private label tenders and expand branded product presence
  • Build and execute strategic account plans and lead commercial negotiations
  • Manage and steer external partners, distributors, and in-market intermediaries
  • Shape and implement the Nordic export strategy
  • Win and manage tenders to drive volume growth and optimize production utilization

Profile

Required

  • Master's degree or equivalent level of thinking
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in sales
  • Proven FMCG experience
  • Strong track record in new business development and account growth
  • Commercially driven with strong analytical and strategic capabilities
  • Experience managing stakeholders across multiple markets and channels
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Highly proactive, independent, and results-oriented
  • Fluent in English
  • Based in the Netherlands

Preferred

  • Experience with export or international market development
  • Experience working with distributors and indirect sales models
  • Background in private label and/or branded FMCG products
  • Additional Nordic or European languages
  • Experience leading or coordinating field sales teams
