About the Role

A leading global healthcare organisation is looking for a Master Data Specialist to support its External Manufacturing & Supply operations. You will join a central Master Data Management team that plays a critical role in enabling global manufacturing, supply, and commercial processes.

In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert for master data, ensuring accurate, consistent, and compliant data across multiple systems, with a strong focus on SAP. You will support both operational activities and strategic initiatives such as system releases, integrations, and process improvements.

The hiring manager is based in France, and the role operates in an international, matrix environment with close collaboration across Supply, Business, IT, Legal, and Pricing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• End‑to‑end ownership of master data processes across multiple systems
• Accurate creation and timely updates of material master data, pricing, commercial contract conditions, bills of material, flows, and related objects
• Ensure master data quality (accuracy, completeness, consistency, validity, and timeliness)
• Review and resolve pricing and contract setup issues with internal stakeholders (supply teams, local markets, legal, pricing)
• Act as subject matter expert for master data technical, functional, and process issues
• Prepare master data reports and actively follow up on actions with business partners
• Support MDM‑related projects such as system upgrades, integrations, new product introductions, and carve‑outs/divestments
• Act as Key Business User for SAP and related master data systems
• Provide data extracts and insights to support business decision‑making
• Train business stakeholders on master data impact and best practices
• Align with global Master Data, Business, and IT teams on roadmap and improvement initiatives

Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
• 2-3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, life sciences, FMCG, or a comparable complex environment
• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP, preferably SAP S/4HANA
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work autonomously in complex, ambiguous environments
• Able to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, international organisation
• Confident communicator, able to clearly present proposals and solutions to stakeholders and management
• Fluent in English
