Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop test fixtures and software-enabled analysis techniques to validate system requirements.
  2. Own the design and execution of test systems, including development of scripts to run automated test fixtures.
  3. Qualify test fixtures and validate test methods to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  4. Design and implement design verification protocols, manage test data, and perform statistical analysis.
  5. Develop non-product software tools to test, measure, and validate system performance.
  6. Utilize command-line interfaces (CLI) and scripting to control systems and automate workflows.
  7. Work extensively in Linux/Ubuntu environments for system testing and development.
  8. Perform data aggregation and manipulation, combining data from multiple sources into unified outputs for analysis.
  9. Troubleshoot test anomalies and lead root cause investigations.
  10. Work hands-on in the lab and collaborate directly with technicians during test execution.
  11. Collaborate with System Engineers to support requirement definition and verification.
  12. Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize test processes and system performance.
  13. Maintain clear, structured documentation in compliance with quality standards.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Strong experience authoring and executing test protocols
  • Experience with system-level requirement verification
  • Experience with test method validation and fixture qualification
  • Strong background in software development supporting hardware systems (not just testing)
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Command line environments
    • Script writing (automation and test execution)
    • Linux / Ubuntu systems
  • Experience with statistical methods for reliability analysis
  • Proven ability to manage and analyze large datasets
  • Experience working in complex, multi-disciplinary systems (electrical, mechanical, optical, software, etc.)
  • Experience in robotics or medical device environments
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills

  • Advanced Python proficiency, including:
    • Developing code from scratch
    • Performing data transfers, system automation, and compilation processes
    • Aggregating and transforming data from multiple sources into structured formats
  • Strong data manipulation and analysis capabilities
  • Experience developing custom tools for system testing and validation
