We are seeking a Packaging Engineer II to support medical device manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for developing and implementing packaging solutions, supporting new product launches, packaging improvements, cost-reduction initiatives, and maintaining packaging documentation across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, validate, and implement packaging systems and processes.
  • Prepare packaging validation protocols and reports in compliance with ISO 11607 and ASTM standards.
  • Perform packaging testing and material qualifications for packaging changes.
  • Create and maintain packaging specifications and support artwork updates.
  • Support packaging equipment selection and qualification activities.
  • Design pallet configurations and packaging solutions for manufacturing operations.
  • Provide technical support, training, and guidance to manufacturing teams.
  • Track project timelines, prepare progress updates, and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support laboratory activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant packaging engineering experience (or advanced degree with 2+ years of experience).
  • Strong knowledge of packaging materials, packaging validation, sterilization processes, ISO 11607, design controls, CAPA, root cause analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, and project management.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • 100% onsite position in Lafayette, CO.
  • Up to 30% travel between facilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
