Our client, a well established public relations agency, is seeking an Account Director to oversee key client engagements and guide the development of integrated communications programs. This individual will serve as a senior partner to clients, ensuring campaigns are grounded in business strategy, executed with excellence, and delivered with measurable impact.

The Account Director will play a critical role in shaping client direction, mentoring internal teams, and contributing to the agency's broader growth initiatives. This is an opportunity for a leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands on oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership across multiple accounts, ensuring communications initiatives support client business objectives.
  • Maintain strong senior level client relationships and deliver thoughtful, proactive counsel.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and performance of integrated programs, ensuring consistency and quality across all deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional team members to support day to day execution of client initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts through new ideas, program enhancements, or additional services.
  • Participate in new business efforts, including program design, proposal development, and pitch presentations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members by setting clear expectations and fostering continuous learning.
  • Stay connected to industry developments, competitive landscapes, and emerging trends to inform client strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, PR, marketing, journalism, English, or a related discipline.
  • 7-10 years of communications agency experience, ideally with exposure to technology or B2B sectors.
  • Proven experience developing and executing strategic, results-driven communications programs.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with a track record of contributing to account growth or new business wins.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, inspire collaboration, and build a positive, high performing culture.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of detail and quality.
