Network Production Planner (Short-Term S&OE)

📌 Role Overview
The Network Production Planner is responsible for developing, managing, and executing short-term production and supply plans within the Mars Wrigley supply chain (0-12 week horizon). The role ensures optimal product availability across markets by continuously balancing demand and supply, managing exceptions, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across the end-to-end (E2E) supply chain.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

🔄 Short-Term Planning & Execution

• Develop, maintain, and communicate accurate production plans within the 0-12 week horizon
• Ensure timely availability of finished and semi-finished goods across assigned markets
• Coordinate product deployment within the supply network based on demand and stock availability

⚖️ Demand & Supply Balancing

• Monitor and resolve imbalances between demand and supply
• Initiate and evaluate scenario planning to maintain service levels
• Balance trade-offs between service, cost, inventory, and product freshness

🚨 Exception Management

• Identify, analyze, and resolve supply chain exceptions (e.g., capacity constraints, material shortages, delays)
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Escalate critical issues through S&OE governance when required

🤝 Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate with factory schedulers, material planners, demand planners, and external suppliers
• Act as the central coordination point between demand and supply functions
• Align priorities and actions with key stakeholders across the network

📦 Inventory & Service Management

• Monitor inventory levels and service performance (e.g., Case Fill Rate)
• Optimize stock allocation across the distribution network
• Minimize waste and reduce excess or obsolete inventory

📊 Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service, cost, and cash
• Identify structural supply chain constraints and improvement opportunities
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance

🗂 Master Data & Process Ownership

• Ensure accuracy of supply chain master data in planning systems
• Support product launches, seasonal planning, and activity management
• Provide backup support for other Network Production Planners when required
