One of our clients, a pioneering biopharmaceutical company committed to developing innovative therapies for life-threatening diseases, is looking for a QC Lab Technician - Sample Management. The office is located near Amsterdam, with a full-time on site presence requested. The role is contract-based for initially 12 months.

QC Lab Technician - Sample Management

Our client is a pioneering biopharmaceutical company committed to developing innovative therapies for life-threatening diseases. Situated in Hoofddorp, close to Amsterdam, the company offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment where employees can thrive and contribute to groundbreaking advancements in healthcare.

The QC Lab Technician - Sample Management will be responsible for ensuring support of high quality for Quality Control and operations while ensuring compliance of protocols, GXP, and safety regulations. This role requires a high level of proficiency and ownership of the process, with the highest skill of aseptic techniques and precision.

Key responsibilities include:

• Housekeeping of QC sample management area.
• Maintain 5S areas including Kanban areas.
• Follow effective procedures at all times.
• Complete GxPLearn and Glearn training in a timely manner.
• Escalate non-conformities (deviations).
• Perform small improvement projects.
• Distribution of QC samples to QC labs.
• Receive QC samples and EM plates.
• Transfer samples from -80°C to LN2 storage.
• Perform the Aph accession as the performer function.
• Dispose of samples according to procedure in a timely manner.
• Additional duties as assigned.

• Working in a fast-paced environment.
• Improvement of current procedures and workflows.
• Timely processing of a continuous sample flow at a high pace.
• High quality with a minimum of deviations (First time right).

Details:

• Start date: ASAP
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Location: Amsterdam Area
• Duration: 1 Year contract

Minimum Requirements:

• Secondary Laboratory Education (MLO, Preferable level 3 / 4) or similar educational background.
• QC experience in a technical role in the biotech and/or Pharmaceutical Industry.
• Sample management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Verbal communication skills and able to read in English are essential in this collaborative work environment.
• Knowledge of GMP, GDP, and SOPs.
• Car drivers preferred due to shift times - candidates MUST be able to be on site at 7am and be able to stay until Midnight.

Additional Information / Requirements:

• Working in shifts (including weekends, [late] evenings and bank holidays).
• Shift Pattern: 4 days morning shift, 2 days off, 4 days evening shift, 2 days off, repeat.
