About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Service Engineer to join its Power Tools team in a highly visible role supporting critical business initiatives. This position has been created to provide additional engineering bandwidth for two major programs:
- A large-scale business separation involving product, service, and data migration activities.
- A year-end New Product Introduction (NPI) launch involving four new handpiece products.
The ideal candidate will work closely with an experienced Service Engineer who will provide mentorship, direction, and technical guidance. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with 2-4 years of experience who enjoys hands-on execution, cross-functional collaboration, and working in a regulated medical device environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support migration of Power Tools products and related service activities as business units transition into new organizational entities.
- Execute product setup, data transfer, updates, and migration activities across business systems.
- Support Service Care engineering activities and associated product support processes.
- Assist with New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for upcoming product launches.
- Create, review, and maintain engineering and technical documentation.
- Support manufacturing and service engineering projects across multiple functions.
- Participate in product configuration and setup within ERP/PLM systems.
- Assist with equipment, tooling, validation, and process-related engineering activities.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, service, and business teams to ensure successful project execution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
- 2-4 years of engineering experience in a regulated medical device environment.
- Background in Service Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a combination of both.
- Experience supporting engineering documentation, technical writing, change processes, or product support activities.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on execution-focused role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP.
- Experience with Windchill or other PLM systems.
- Exposure to ERP systems and product data management.
- Experience with:
- Equipment or tooling design
- Equipment validation
- Process development/design
- Manufacturing support
- Technical documentation
