A boutique, science driven medical communications agency is seeking a Senior Account Manager to join its growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of scientific detail, client partnership, and seamless project delivery. As a key member of the account services team, you will help drive execution excellence across high visibility medical affairs and HCP focused initiatives.This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative, mission oriented environment where curiosity, kindness, and accountability are core to how the team operates.
About the Role:
The Senior Account Manager serves as a central connection point between clients, internal teams, and strategic partners ensuring projects move forward smoothly, on time, and with exceptional quality. You'll oversee day to day project workflows, support client communication, manage budgets and timelines, and help deliver a wide range of medical communications initiatives.You'll play a meaningful role in shaping the success of each project and fostering strong, trusting relationships with both colleagues and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
  • Own day to day coordination and execution across assigned projects.
  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure alignment with scope.
  • Anticipate needs, flag risks early, and help identify solutions.
Client Engagement
  • Lead regular client calls and status updates with confidence and clarity.
  • Develop strong relationships that extend beyond task‑level execution.
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication regarding deliverables, approvals, and next steps.
Execution Excellence
  • Support logistics and planning for virtual and live meetings, advisory boards, webinars, congress activities, and other HCP focused initiatives.
  • Prepare slide decks, meeting materials, reports, agendas, and supporting content.
  • Coordinate closely with regulatory teams on approvals and compliance needs.
Vendor & Resource Management
  • Manage external vendors and freelancers (AV, graphics, print, etc.) to keep projects on track.
  • Draft project scopes and maintain organized project documentation.
Financial Stewardship
  • Track and manage project budgets, hours, and reconciliations.
  • Oversee invoicing workflows and partner internally to maintain accuracy.
Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with cross functional partners to ensure aligned, efficient workflows.
  • Bring a proactive, solutions oriented approach to challenges.
  • Support a positive, team first culture grounded in respect, accountability, and reliability.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required (life sciences or related field a plus).
  • 3+ years of project/account management experience in medical communications or healthcare marketing.
  • Strong foundational understanding of therapeutic areas, medical affairs workflows, and regulatory guidelines (such as PhRMA, FDA, OIG).
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, written communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to travel occasionally for live meetings or client needs.
  • A collaborative mindset with a commitment to producing high quality work.
