An exciting opportunity is available for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on improving production efficiency and quality standards. The role involves applying engineering theory and principles to solve challenges related to industrial layout and manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints, and contributing to the planning and optimization of production workflows.

Key responsibilities include studying time, motion, methods, and speed in maintenance and production operations to establish standard rates and enhance efficiency. The Manufacturing Engineer will interpret schematic diagrams and formulas, collaborating with management and engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards. Reviewing worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification sheets to ensure compliance with quality assurance specifications is also a core aspect of the role. Additionally, the engineer will assist in planning work assignments based on worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays, as well as preparing charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow and floor layouts.

Candidates should demonstrate creativity, strong verbal and written communication skills, and analytical problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential. Proficiency in making sketches, engineering drawings, and computations, as well as reading and interpreting technical drawings and computer-generated reports, is required. Experience with engineering software, particularly Computer Aided Design (CAD), is beneficial. Familiarity with electronics devices and previous exposure to manufacturing or quality environments, especially in the medical device sector, will be advantageous. A bachelor's degree in engineering is required, with 0-2 years of relevant experience; internship or co-op experience is helpful.
