Please see the below requirements for an Electrical Engineer (II to Senior Principal level) with an established medical device company in Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid). This role offers the opportunity to work on a commercially successful implantable medical technology platform that continues to evolve through significant investment in next-generation product development. Depending on experience level, you'll contribute to or lead the design and development of mixed-signal electronics, PCB assemblies, embedded systems, wireless connectivity, ASICs, battery-powered devices, and test systems while partnering closely with firmware, mechanical, systems, quality, and regulatory teams. This is a highly visible R&D position where you'll have direct impact on product innovation, technical decision-making, and the development of technology that improves patient outcomes worldwide.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience designing analog, digital, or mixed-signal electronic systems in a regulated product development environment
  • Experience with schematic capture, PCB design, prototyping, testing, debugging, and root-cause analysis
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, and related test equipment
  • Experience developing and documenting products through formal engineering processes
  • Ideally experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, ASIC development, or low-power battery-operated devices
  • Ideally experience with Bluetooth, NFC, RFID, wireless communications, or connected device architectures
  • Preferred experience supporting verification & validation, risk management, FMEA activities, and design controls
  • Preferred experience within medical devices, aerospace, automotive, industrial controls, or other highly regulated industries
  • For senior-level candidates, experience providing technical leadership, driving system architecture, mentoring engineers, and leading complex product development programs is highly desired

Compensation: Varies based on level and experience (Electrical Engineer II through Senior Principal Electrical Engineer)
