The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager - R&D to join a collaborative and high-performing global team. This role will play a key part in managing cross-functional drug development programs, ensuring alignment, efficiency, and successful delivery of key milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and manage cross-functional R&D project teams across multiple stages of drug development
• Develop and maintain project timelines, plans, and deliverables
• Coordinate communication and activities across teams including Clinical, Regulatory, CMC, Nonclinical, and Commercial
• Track project milestones and proactively identify risks and mitigation strategies
• Ensure alignment between project goals and broader R&D and business objectives
• Provide regular updates and reporting to stakeholders and senior management
• Facilitate project meetings and contribute to governance processes
• Support continuous improvement of project management tools and practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field (Advanced degree preferred)
• Proven experience in project coordination or project management within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry
• 3+ years of experience supporting cross-functional drug development teams
• Work experience in a global environment
• Experience across multiple therapeutic areas is preferred
• Strong understanding of the drug development lifecycle
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrix environment
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar)
• Business-level English; Japanese language skills are an advantage
