The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager - R&D to join a collaborative and high-performing global team. This role will play a key part in managing cross-functional drug development programs, ensuring alignment, efficiency, and successful delivery of key milestones.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to global projects and work on innovative therapies within a dynamic, matrix environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and manage cross-functional R&D project teams across multiple stages of drug development
- Develop and maintain project timelines, plans, and deliverables
- Coordinate communication and activities across teams including Clinical, Regulatory, CMC, Nonclinical, and Commercial
- Track project milestones and proactively identify risks and mitigation strategies
- Ensure alignment between project goals and broader R&D and business objectives
- Provide regular updates and reporting to stakeholders and senior management
- Facilitate project meetings and contribute to governance processes
- Support continuous improvement of project management tools and practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field (Advanced degree preferred)
- Proven experience in project coordination or project management within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry
- 3+ years of experience supporting cross-functional drug development teams
- Work experience in a global environment
- Experience across multiple therapeutic areas is preferred
- Strong understanding of the drug development lifecycle
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrix environment
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar)
- Business-level English; Japanese language skills are an advantage
