Senior Manager - Integrated Work Systems (IWS)

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Manager - Integrated Work Systems (IWS) to lead manufacturing excellence and performance transformation at a high-performing production site in Japan.

In this role, you will drive end-to-end factory performance while advancing the maturity of a globally recognized operational excellence framework inspired by leading FMCG practices. You will play a critical role in embedding a culture of zero loss, ownership, and continuous improvement across the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to improve overall factory performance across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, and Environment (SQCDME)
  • Identify losses and inefficiencies, and design data-driven improvement strategies with measurable impact
  • Champion the implementation and sustainability of core management systems (e.g., Daily Direction Setting, Daily Management Systems, Standard Work)
  • Act as the site subject matter expert for IWS, driving capability building and program maturity
  • Deliver training and coaching to teams, fostering a "Learn-Do-Teach" culture
  • Own performance reporting and act as a key contact for regional/global stakeholders
  • Lead pillar reviews across areas such as Autonomous Maintenance, Progressive Maintenance, Loss Elimination, Quality, and Supply Chain
  • Ensure system health through structured assessments and continuous improvement actions
  • Develop and mentor the next generation of operational excellence leaders

About You

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, or related fields preferred)

Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience leading TPM/IWS or similar continuous improvement frameworks

  • Background in FMCG, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels

  • Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English
