Senior Manager - Integrated Work Systems (IWS)
About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Manager - Integrated Work Systems (IWS) to lead manufacturing excellence and performance transformation at a high-performing production site in Japan.
In this role, you will drive end-to-end factory performance while advancing the maturity of a globally recognized operational excellence framework inspired by leading FMCG practices. You will play a critical role in embedding a culture of zero loss, ownership, and continuous improvement across the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives to improve overall factory performance across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, and Environment (SQCDME)
- Identify losses and inefficiencies, and design data-driven improvement strategies with measurable impact
- Champion the implementation and sustainability of core management systems (e.g., Daily Direction Setting, Daily Management Systems, Standard Work)
- Act as the site subject matter expert for IWS, driving capability building and program maturity
- Deliver training and coaching to teams, fostering a "Learn-Do-Teach" culture
- Own performance reporting and act as a key contact for regional/global stakeholders
- Lead pillar reviews across areas such as Autonomous Maintenance, Progressive Maintenance, Loss Elimination, Quality, and Supply Chain
- Ensure system health through structured assessments and continuous improvement actions
- Develop and mentor the next generation of operational excellence leaders
About You
Education
-
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, or related fields preferred)
Experience & Skills
-
Proven experience leading TPM/IWS or similar continuous improvement frameworks

Background in FMCG, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred

Strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills

Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels

Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English
