Real Staffing’s #InspiredByYou 5-a-side for charity
Every year, Real Staffing hold a #InspiredByYou pharma 5-a-side football tournament for charity. This year, we partnered with Aspen Pharma Trading Ltd., in aid of the Peter McVerry Trust – a charity that works with Dublin’s young homeless for over 30 years. Our aim was to make the event bigger and more successful than last year. Here’s how it went…
Thank you to everyone who helped
The event ran smoothly thanks to Tallaght Astropark who were on the ball, organising fixtures and making sure rules were followed. They also supplied us with a delicious BBQ after the matches to analyse the games.
Fulfil Nutrition and Avonmore Protein Milk were out with stands and samples on the day. The fruit people also supplied us with fruit for the event. Q102 also came out on the day to get involved and bring us some goodies!
More people than ever wanted to take part
Due to the success of last year’s event, once we started advertising it, the interest was huge. A number of companies reached out to us to ask if they could take part, including a company based in Galway who travelled 2 ½ hours to get to the venue.
We organised meetings to collect the registration fees from each company that entered a team. And as it was during the hottest week of the year, we also dropped ice-cream in to teams we’d worked with before while on site.
Teams from LEO Pharma, Trinity Biotech, Chanelle, Mylan, SK Biotek, Grifols, Perrigo, NIBRT, Mallinckrodt, Ipsen, Chemsource, Aspen, and Real Staffing competed for our #InspiredByYou Cup and the chance to be the best pharma 5-a-side football team in Dublin. The #InspiredByYou Pharma 5-a-side football tournament was a huge success, and with 25 teams from 12 companies taking part, we managed to raise almost €3,000.
A great opportunity to develop relationships
With such a wide range of companies taking part, we were able to build and develop relationships with everyone. We were able to discuss upcoming opportunities and the future of recruitment, leading to companies asking us to work them on placements.
